Our Roles

Our foundation has always made it its core mission to raise awareness of standardization around the world, especially in developing countries. In the field of standardization, international organizations, the public and private sectors are the main driving forces. Among them, the private sector has demonstrated outstanding capabilities in the compilation and application of standards by virtue of its accumulation in business practices; The public sector, with its policy guidance and regulatory functions, plays a key role in promoting the implementation of standards and the popularization of awareness.

In most cases, the private and public sectors are acting independently or working together to meet the needs of all sectors of society for standardization, based on their respective strengths. However, in developing countries, due to limited resources and poor access to information, the awareness and application of standardization are still at a low level. It is difficult for people and enterprises to fully realize the important value of standardization in improving the quality of life and promoting economic development.

To this end, the Foundation integrates social resources and plans and carries out a variety of activities through extensive fundraising, covering multiple dimensions such as publicity, communication, training and awards. It aims to enable more countries, enterprises and individuals to deeply appreciate the benefits of standardization.

For example, with the continuous expansion of the global industrial chain, more and more countries are integrated into it, and a product standard not only helps to eliminate trade barriers, but also allows enterprises to participate in international competition more fairly under the premise of following the same quality and technical standards, thereby promoting the optimal allocation of global resources. Consumers can also enjoy high-quality products from all over the world at a more reasonable price.

This is the space where philanthropy can help, and it is how our foundation positions itself in its role. However, the road ahead is not all smooth sailing, and we still face many challenges that need to be solved urgently: how to use innovative methods to effectively improve people's understanding of standardization? How to build a sound talent discovery mechanism to tap and cultivate the young generation of standardized professionals? How to build a diversified and international high-quality platform so that these talents can fully display their talents and contribute to the development of the world.
